  The optician, Doug, is very friendly and helpful. He's been in business for a long time and has a good selection of frames. When I've gone to big optical stores I have often found that I feel like they just are trying to get more of my money or their seemingly "reasonably priced" frames are actually of poor quality. Doug, on the other hand, is honest, trustworthy, and does not seem to jack up the prices. And I have been impressed with the quality of the frames he sells. Also, my Aunt has been wearing contacts supplied by Doug for years now. He patiently works with you to find the contacts that are most comfortable for your eyes. If you need glasses or contacts, take your prescription to the Towpath Optician!
